New puppies! Yay. What made this particular delivery special is the fact that I assisted my dog in giving birth. Normally, we just make a whelping box for our dog and just leave her alone until the first puppy is out. This time, I wanted to see it. I personally ripped off the sack when the mother started with her umbilical cord instead of the sack. The pup had to breathe, and so I had it ripped with my bare hands! How does it feel? Slimy and warm. But I didn’t matter. I had to do it or the pup suffocates.
My sister decided to call the small one (left photo), Alekai, from the movie Madagascar. And the big one, Fifi, from Open Season 2. I hope they survive. Alekai is so small and fragile. I can’t stand another death. =(
Woohoo! This is my second time to win something online. I guess, the odds are in my favor. I won (second winner) from Angie’s contest sponsored by my online friend, Nina of Moshi Luxe. Yay!
I have to say that the delivery was fast! I found out that I won a day ago and then the package arrived the next day. The delivery guy even jokingly remarked that the package might be food because of its bulkiness and heaviness. LOL.
I only won these two lovely Victoria’s Secret set but received a small freebie too! Thank you. =)
Side note: Now, to the other contests I’ve joined, I hope the odds will still be in my favor. =D
So I’ve already finished reading Insurgent days ago. =) Took me 15 hours to finish the book including the eating and sleeping. Well, it’s a good read! The book is full of action and a couple of kisses there and everywhere. LOL. I can’t wait for the next book. It better be good coz the ending was a massive cliffhanger!
Moving on, I’m currently reading The Serpent’s Shadow (epub) by Rick Riordan. It’s the third and final book from The Kane Chronicles. I hope to finish the book this week so that I can continue reading Angels & Demons, which I purposely put off for a week now just to re-read The Hunger Games trilogy and Insurgent. Gah. I’m such a bookworm!
PLOT: He’s b-a-a-ack! Despite their best efforts, Carter and Sade Kane can’t seem to keep Apophis, the chaos snake, down. Now Apophis is threatening to plunge the world into eternal darkness, and the Kanes are faced with the impossible task of having to destroy him once and for all. Unfortunately, the magicians of the House of Life are on the brink of civil war, the gods are divided, and the young initiates of Brooklyn House stand almost alone against the forces of chaos.
To find the answer they need, the Kanes must rely on the murderous ghost of a powerful magician who might be able to lead them to the serpent’s shadow… or might lead them to their deaths in the depths of the underworld

OMG. Here it is! Finally found a copy of one of my favorite Dystopian book series! Woohoo! I’d like to thank the person who uploaded it on a forum I frequent. Thanks to you, dear!
This series is probably my third favorite after The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner in terms of Dystopia. I’m also happy to found out that Divergent (the first book) and The Maze Runner will be made into movies, which I AM SOOOOO LOOKING FORWARD!
Check out the book trailer of Insurgent below. I recommend these three series I mentioned earlier. It’s a must read!
PLOT: One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.
Tris’s initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.
New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth’s much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.

Back in HS, I never really took care of my skin until I went to College. I mean, yeah I wash my face with a facial wash but not daily. Sometimes, I even forgot to do it before I go to sleep. Probably because of stress from school and all that stuff. In fact, I don’t have a skin regime to brag about. I don’t know how it happened, but I remembered getting conscious about the way I look. I came from an all girls school and was suddenly thrust to a co-ed College, that means I get to be with boys as well. And that was a whole lot different experience from a sixteen year old girl who only had girls for classmates her whole life, and women and nuns for teachers.
So I guess I transformed just like any normal teenager. I remembered asking my mom to buy me skin care stuff for my face and whatnot. It’s a good thing though, that I didn’t suffered from severe acne unlike other teenage girls I knew. I guess that’s the only good thing about me.
Anyway, I found quite a lot of good products from Cleopatras Choice facial care that might help people suffering from Eczema, Psoriasis or Acne. What I like to check out is this Adovia Dead Sea Mineral Lift Serum for my mom and the Exfoliating Dead Sea Facial Salts – Natural. I read some good feedbacks from them so far.
So my mom and I went to this quite familiar big grocery store last week since we were in a hurry and decided to shop there. The place is okay, it’s really big and aside from the grocery itself, they also have a few food stalls where you can eat while you wait or have a snack after the tiring grocery shopping. As we were about to pay our bill, my mom and I can’t help but noticed that they are still using the old school cashiers.
They still manually input the prices of each of the products we bought, and get this, almost all of the products ranging from canned goods, meat, fruits, candies, cookies, toiletries, etc, they all seemed to know the prices very well. They don’t have a barcode scanner or posiflex equipments to accommodate faster work. I got really embarrassed when my mom suddenly questioned the cashier woman as to why they are still using an old cashier and not the new ones. I didn’t bother to stay there to hear the answer. Ha ha. In my mind, maybe the company can’t afford using POS? Hmm..
