Back when I was young, my family used to travel within the country especially during holidays and vacation. We used to spend a whole week at a certain place armed with our itinerary list or sometimes hop from one city to another. I just missed those days where we don’t care about work or school. Just pure relaxation in a cottage or at a beach, sunbathing.
Anyway, it’s summer once again! I can already feel the heat! Do you guys have any plans this summer? I’ve been downloading some trip plannerapps from iTunes. So far, I really like gogobot, tripit and trip planner app. All three are very neat and useful. Since my family are planning to go someplace else this summer, a handy travel planner app for my iPhone is a must!
A travel planner app is really useful especially to those who loves to travel across the globe. Documenting your travel experience right from your iDevice is a great way to save your happy moments during your stay in a particular country or place. Gone are those days where are itineraries for the day are printed in a piece of paper, eventually losing it. With these apps, you can create your daily itinerary for your trip right in your iDevice. In addition to that, you can monitor flight schedules, book your flight and hotel, check out the country’s most visited restaurants, visit the popular bars in the town, all of that you can perform by using any of the travel apps I mentioned from your iDevice.

I have nothing intersting to blog today. Yes, my life is pretty boring. Anyway, I thought of checking out this Simsimi app (it’s like CleverBot) and lo and behold. Kudos to the makers. HAHA!
Sorry. Potterhead enabled. I know those two films shouldn’t be compared, but for the sake of entertaining myself..

So last weekend, mom and I went to Citylight to get my Smart Bro stick. Well, it’s repaired all right, paid it for PHP330 (including the check up fee), but it wouldn’t work on my netbook. Something went wrong and honestly, I have no idea what or how it came to that.
Anyway, I was told that I need to completely delete all files that’s related to Smart Bro including the registry entries. I did that already, but the damn Smart Bro stick still wouldn’t install. The technician who handled my stick at Citylight has informed me something about my missing “Ports” in Device Manager, which I checked and got also confused. I was wondering if it has something to do with my problem with the Smart Bro stick. Argh.
Anyhoo, I guess I need to reformat my netbook then. Pft. I’ve exhausted any other possibilities of getting my Smart Bro fixed and installed. Oh life.

So I finally got my brother his own touch phone yesterday. It’s not as expensive as my current phone, but at least he has a new one. It’s a MyPhone TW1. I bought it for PHP3488 at Gateway Cubao. My brother loves to read books just like me. The reason I wanted to buy him a new phone with a larger screen is because of the ebook feature. And this Myphone TW1 fits the description (and my budget).
Anyway, the phone itself is okay. It runs in JAVA meaning you can install JAVA games and applications for all you want. As for the ebook feature, the only file format that can be read is in .TXT format and so far, the best ebook reader for myphone TW1 is Albite Reader. Camera, well, it’s okay, not what I expected. But it says in the specifications that it has a 3.2 MP. It’s a DUAL SIM phone. Has good WiFi. Oh! It also has a track pad, which comes in handy. Available colors are cappuccino, black and pink.

manual, warranty, cds, tw1 manual
So far, so good. The only downside about this phone is the resistive screen. You have to touch the LCD a little harder and texting is quite hard (sanayan lang, I guess). I don’t see a “SEND TO MANY” option in their messaging – correct me if I’m wrong (not good for those who are constantly sending Group Messages). No camera flash. It has no motion sensor.
Overall, it’s a good phone if you’re on a budget. Tho, I don’t recommend it for people who are hard core texters and apps lover. Just add a couple of thousands and buy a Samsung Galaxy Y. =) I’ll probably get my brother an Android powered phone soon.
Download JAVA apps and games.

Gone are the days when we use maps to navigate destinations. Gone are the days when we ask for directions and ultimately get lost in the process. In this generation, we now have what we call, a bluetooth gps receiver.
