Hooray For New Monitor!

Finally bought a new monitor for our desktop. Our old one is just so old and dying anyway. =D It’s a LED monitor which I think is much better than the LCDs.

Bought it for only PHP2800 somewhere in Shopwise.

Alcatel One Touch Glam 810D

Woot! Heads up! I know this is quite old now. But I still want to share. I actually saw this cute little pink phone from Alcatel two months ago. As soon as I saw it, I wanted it. Alas, one has to think ahead, the pros and the cons. WHY do I want it? I own a phone that can pretty much do ANYTHING. But it’s PINK! And it’s CUTE! So you see my dilemma here? LOL.

Anyway, this stylish little phone comes in Victoria Blush and Light Chrome. It actually looks like a compact powder case (another cuteness factor).

It features a 2.4 screen, can run JAVA apps, a QWERTY keypad, music player that can store up to 2000 songs, mobile browsers such as Opera Mini and Obigo, push mail, email, dual sim, has Bluetooth but no WIFI. =( That last one is the downside. It also features the popular social apps we often use: Facebook and Twitter. Note: It does not run on Android. This savvy phone retails for PHP3,999 (last time I checked). Not bad, yes?

Get Your Own Online Storage

I may have to reformat my netbook soon because of the viruses it had accumulated over the months. I have no qualms in regards to reformatting my netbook because I badly need a fresh start. Right now, my number one problem is my storage which I think might reach up to 10GB space, excluding my movie downloads. I own no flash drive right now because my brother is currently using it for his projects, and I haven’t bought myself an external hard drive yet. Now, we all know about the latest innovation that has changed the way we back up our files (if you’re still using the old style usb and hard drive). It’s actually being used as a backup tool for all iOS devices, Android and the likes. It’s called, cloud storage or more commonly known as pc back up.

In a nutshell:

Cloud Storage comes extremely useful. If you want to back up your files online without fearing of future loss or damage, then cloud storage might just be your answer. It works with this so-called, cloud computing, which will make your life easier in accessing your files online ANYTIME and ANYWHERE. Whether you’re using another computer, as long as you’re connected, then you’re good to go. Storage space can go up to 5GB for free, but if you want a bigger storage than that, you can always opt to pay for your storage monthly or annually. Personally, I like the idea of storing my files online. Only that of course, private files, such as your photos or home videos, is a different story.

For future references, in case you want to back up your files online, make sure to visit Top 10 Online Back Up website to check out their extensive lists of best known online back up providers (ex. myPC Backup, just cloud, sugarsync, carbonite, iCloud, etc.) based on their rankings and reviews.

PlayerXstreme App

This is related to my previous post about where to download movies for mobile. To those who wants to use their iPhones, iPads or iPod to watch their favorite movies, I recommend PlayerXstreme App. It’s free to download and very easy to use. Plus it supports all kinds of video format especially .avi files.

How to transfer videos to PlayerXstreme App:

1. Open your iTunes.
2. Click your iPhone name.
3. Click Apps and scroll down until you see a left window and right window.
4. On the left window, click PlayerXstreme.
5. As soon as you click PlayerXstreme, just DRAG & DROP your movies (from where you saved your movies — desktop or anywhere) into the right window. Sync. =)

The Woman in Black. Creepy but very nice movie.

Kudos To Technology!

I grew up in the late 90′s and the early 2000′s, where the only means of communication we have is thru snailmail, email, pager and of course the telephone. That’s why I love today’s technology. Why? Simple. It connects us all from anywhere to anyone in the world. That’s why I’m glad social networks and video teleconferencing were invented to benefit our need to communicate faster. Today, we can now recieve, read and even watch the current events using our mobile (which I find handy since I rarely watch the news) or laptop, find our old friends we haven’t seen for a very very long time or do some online shopping (my favorite!).

In a big way, today’s technology has truly helped us.

Download Movies For Your Mobile

I’m starting to feel the strain of being a slave of Globe. LOL! to think I just recently became a postpaid subscriber. Nevertheless, I’m still glad I am able to pay my bills on time, well, if not on time, atleast before the next billing arrives. I hope this continues for the next 22 months. =)

Speaking of Globe, it’s unfortunate for us postpaid subscribers not to fully enjoy this Globe Rewards. I mean, in order for us to gain points, we have to spend above our plan. Tsk.

OKAY. What’s up? I’ve been downloading lots of movies for my iPhone since last Tuesday I think. If you’re wondering where I download movies directly for mobile devices, check out moviesmobile.net. =) To play movies on your mobile, you need to install an app that is capable of playing .avi files. Don’t worry though, the files are quite small ranging from 40-90MB/file. Alright, it’s movie marathon time! Where’s the popcorn? =)
