The Essence by Kimberly Derting

First book to be released this Jan 2013 that I’m currently waiting for is the second book of The Pledge series — The Essence by Kimberly Derting.

“Danger, dread, mystery, and romance” continue in the second book of The Pledge trilogy, as Charlie’s reign is under siege from the most unusual of enemies.

I don’t think I wrote a post about the first book (The Pledge), but I can say that it intrigued me. The plot was interesting. I realized now that it’s kind of a Snow White story mixed with some paranormal stuff. However, what I didn’t like, again, is the insta-love of the protagonist and her love interest.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to reading this. Believe it or not, but I’m still not finished with Blood Red Road! Gah.
